Introduction
Responsible for the reconciliation of all Capricorn Unit Trust Portfolio accounts as well as the Segregated Portfolio accounts managed by Capricorn Asset Management. Processing of open items on the daily recons as well as sending queries regarding unreconciled items and to follow up and resolve all differences in a timely fashion by the custodians, counterparties, and other internal departments.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
Reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all bank accounts and transactions for all
- Capricorn Unit Trust Portfolio and Segregated Portfolio accounts
- Liaise with Custodians, Counterparties, and Client Administration to resolve all outstanding/unmatched items
- Clearing of open items on reconciliations relating to bank charges, SWIFT charges, and Online Banking Enterprise fees (OBE fees), as they are debited from the actual accounts. Investigating overdrawn accounts, calculating the charges, and sending through the claims related to overdrafts that may occur, and interest lost due to overdrawn accounts.
- Compiling Error and Losses reports related to missed instructions and funding reversals not done within a timely manner.
- Ensuring that all funding done inter-departmentally is reversed for good value and sending through interest claims for all funding reversals not done timeously.
- Investigating differences in dividends/coupons received and engaging with custodians and counterparties to clear these differences.
- Providing accurate and timely daily and monthly reconciliations to management for sign off
Platform administration
- Ensure proper knowledge of systems, processing, and procedures
- Ensure proper understanding of Internal Business Processes
- Assist with any Portfolio Administration-related tasks and processing.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with commercial subjects
- At least 5 years relevant experience within an administration environment A Commercial Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience/ knowledge & Skills
- Ability to think and behave in a reasonable way.
- Ability to understand carried out detailed and written or oral instructions.
