KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
· Provide data and analysis to the portfolio management team w.r.t. macroeconomic and investment related research.
· Maintain key economic indicator data base. Data is mainly, but not exclusively, provided by official sources, e.g. Bank of Namibia, SARB, NSA, Governments, etc.
· Interpret and present graphs of key economic and investment indicators to the CAM Economic Meeting.
· Present to CAM Economic Meeting.
· Be able to use relative IT systems such as Reuters and Bloomberg.
· Prepare and distribute economic research reports as directed by the CIO.
· Analyze 3d party research and communicate conclusions to the PMT.
· Conduct special economic research projects
· Act as Secretary of CAM Economic Committee.
· Conduct client presentations and feedback sessions
· Provide information to the media/marketing as needed and convey views and conclusions to same.
· Support Investor Services and Business Development sales efforts with information, analyses and presentations.
· Provide services to the Capricorn Group as per SLA. This may entail, amongst others, presenting to ALCO, ad hoc research projects and position papers.
· Assist in developing the “House View”.
· Must accept that portfolio returns will form a significant part of professional performance appraisal
· Maintain a digital mindset and be able to integrate digital tools into processes and way of work.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· B.Com preferably in Banking, Economics, Statistics or Investment Management.
· Post graduate studies will be a distinct advantage
· CFA strongly preferred. Enrollment in the program required.
· Four years of relevant experience required.
