The Senior Feature Analyst will be responsible for translating business vision into clear, actionable requirements (features and user stories) and guiding their delivery from concept to launch. The role is a critical link between the strategic business objectives and the agile development teams. This role requires a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of how
features deliver value to business users and the impacted customers. The Feature Analyst will work across multiple agile teams, collaborating closely with Product Owners, software developers, quality assurance engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are effective, technically sound, and aligned with the strategic goals.
Job description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
Strategic Analysis & Product Discovery
• Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to understand high-level objectives, desired outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Translate business strategy into an actionable product backlog, ensuring features align with defined OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
• Conduct discovery and spike workshops, stakeholder sessions, and user research to define problems, validate assumptions, and identify opportunities.
• Utilize data analytics, user feedback, and market insights to inform requirements and prioritization decisions.
• Map complex business processes and user journeys to create a shared understanding of user needs and system interactions.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to create, refine, and prioritize the team backlog, ensuring a steady flow of well-defined work for the development team.
• Author clear, concise, and testable user stories with robust acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate and participate in key agile ceremonies, including story mapping, backlog grooming, and iteration planning.
• Manage dependencies across teams and epics, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the team, clarifying ambiguity and providing context throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to create, refine, and prioritize the team backlog, ensuring a steady flow of well-defined work for the development team.

• Analyse and model data flows, system integrations, and API specifications.
• Champion quality by defining robust acceptance criteria and supporting the QA process through exploratory testing and business validation.
• Facilitate team and business demonstrations, gather feedback from end-users, and ensure the final product meets the business goals.
• Build and maintain test suites including full regression testing for both manual and automated testing for relevant application/software features.
• Collaborate with architects and software developers to ensure solution feasibility, scalability, and alignment with the overall technical strategy.

• Mentor other analysts and team members on best practices in analysis and agile methodologies.
• Support the team in PI Planning, committing to iteration goals, and continuously improving team processes.
Minimum requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0).
• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other relevant agile certifications.
• Technical background or experience with the team's technology stack (e.g., Angular, OpenText Appworks, Microservices, MSSQL Databases, etc.).
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0).
• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other relevant agile certifications.
• Technical background or experience with the team's technology stack (e.g., Angular, OpenText Appworks, Microservices, MSSQL Databases, etc.).
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst in an agile software development environment.
• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, user story writing, acceptance criteria definition, and backlog management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry (knowledge of banking products, regulations, payment systems, etc.).
• Proficiency in data analysis and querying using SQL.
• Familiarity with API design principles (REST, SOAP) and system integration patterns.
