This role supports the organisation’s digital transformation, data management, and analytics initiatives by bridging business, data, and technology teams. The role is responsible for analysing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, producing actionable insights, supporting data governance activities, and contributing to the delivery of digital solutions and process automation initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data practitioners to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, customer experience, and data quality across the organisation
Job description

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Data Analytics & Business Insights

·         Analyse data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.

·         Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to support business decision-making.

·         Perform customer, operational, and market analysis to support strategic and operational objectives.

·         Monitor key performance indicators and identify optimisation opportunities across business processes and digital channels.

·         Validate data accuracy and reporting outputs through data quality and reconciliation processes.

·         Support the development of analytical datasets and self-service reporting capabilities.

·         Promote data-driven decision-making through effective reporting, visualisation, and communication of insights.

·         Assist in identifying opportunities to leverage predictive analytics and AI-driven insights.

  

Business Analysis & Process Improvement 

·         Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, user stories, business rules, and functional specifications.

·         Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagements to gather and validate requirements.

·         Analyse and document current and future-state business processes and customer journeys.

·         Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and digital enablement.

·         Analyse data flows and identify process, data quality, governance, and integration risks.

·         Maintain requirements documentation, process maps, and backlog items throughout project lifecycles.

·         Ensure data and reporting requirements are incorporated into solution designs.

 

Data Management & Governance

·         Support the implementation and ongoing maturity of the organisation’s Data Management Framework.

·         Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to improve data quality, governance, and accountability.

·         Assist with data profiling, data quality assessments, and remediation activities.

·         Support the maintenance of business glossaries, data definitions, and metadata documentation.

·         Contribute to master and reference data management activities across business domains.

·         Assist in identifying and resolving duplicate, inconsistent, or incomplete data.

·         Support data lineage, traceability, and auditability initiatives within reporting and analytics environments.

·         Monitor and report on data quality metrics and governance-related KPIs.

 

Digital Solutions & Automation

·         Identify opportunities to improve business processes through workflow automation and digital solutions.

·         Support the design, implementation, and optimisation of digital initiatives, including customer-facing and internal solutions.

·         Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardisation efforts.

·         Collaborate with Group IT and business teams to support technology-enabled transformation projects.

·         Assist with solution evaluations, business cases, and benefits realisation activities.

 

Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance

·         Support backlog management and prioritisation activities.

·         Define acceptance criteria and assist with the development of test scenarios and test cases.

·         Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect management processes.

·         Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and expected outcomes.

·         Ensure requirements remain aligned with business objectives throughout project delivery.

 

AI & Emerging Technology Enablement

·         Identify opportunities for the application of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and intelligent automation within business processes.

·         Support the development and evaluation of AI use cases and proof-of-concept initiatives.

·         Assist with ensuring data readiness and quality for AI-enabled solutions.

·         Contribute to AI-driven analytics, knowledge management, customer engagement, and operational efficiency initiatives.

·         Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and recommend practical opportunities for adoption.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

·         Communicate insights, project progress, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·         Collaborate with business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams.

·         Support governance forums, working groups, and project steering activities as required.

·         Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support decision-making.

·         Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery outcomes.

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Core Competencies

·         Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving

Minimum requirements

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

·         3–5 years’ experience in business analysis, data analytics, digital transformation, or related roles.

·         Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

·         Experience analysing and interpreting data to support business decision-making.

·         Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.

·         Understanding of data governance, data quality, and information management principles.

·         Exposure to workflow automation, process improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.

·         Understanding of Agile methodologies and software delivery lifecycles.

·         Exposure to AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation initiatives will be advantageous.

·         Experience within financial services, banking, investments, or related industries will be advantageous.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Commerce, or a related field.

 

Advantageous Certifications

·         Agile Certification (SAFe, Scrum, Agile Business Analysis or equivalent)

·         Business Analysis Certification (IIBA ECBA, CCBA, CBAP or equivalent)

·         Data Analytics or Power BI Certification

·         Data Management or Data Governance Certification

·         AI, Automation, or Digital Transformation-related certifications
