Introduction
The AML Analyst: Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the execution complete operational lifecycle of Go-AML regulatory reporting, including extracting, validating, uploading, reconciling, and tracking XML files (CTR, EFT, IFT), ensuring full compliance with the FIA reporting requirements. The role ensures that all XML files are generated, validated, corrected, and submitted within the regulatory 5 working day window and coordinates error resolution with Business Units and IT Platforms. The AML Analyst: Regulatory Reporting also serves as the AML Compliance technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Business Units, Enterprise Services Platform Department (ES), Information & Analytics (I&A), and other IT teams in resolving Go-AML reporting errors at source.
Job description

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
 
Submission of Daily CTR/EFT (local & Cross-border) Reports 
 
· Perform timely and accurate extraction, validation, and submission of daily XML CTR and EFT (local and cross‑border) reports to the FIC Go-AML portal in accordance with FIA regulatory requirements.
·  Extract, validate, and submit corrected XML CTR and EFT reports (local and cross‑border) to the FIC Go-AML portal following the remediation of all data quality issues.
· Ensure all initial and corrected regulatory reports are submitted within the prescribed five (5) working‑day regulatory timeframe to maintain compliance with FIC reporting obligations.
· Maintain accurate reporting logs of submitted XML files.
 
Go-AML related Data Quality & Errors Remediation – Daily CTR/EFT (local & Cross-border) Reports
 
· Ensure the timely identification, investigation, and correction of reportable transactions containing data quality errors in XML files.
· Communicate promptly with relevant Business Units and the Enterprise Service Platform regarding transactions identified with data quality issues.
· Proactively identify rejected XML files and communicate these timeously to the Enterprise Service Platform for remediation.
· Track and monitor the remediation of reportable transactions with data quality errors and rejected XML files to ensure accurate resubmission to the FIC within the prescribed five (5) working‑day timeframe.
 
Go-AML related Data Quality Errors Remediation – AML Exception Reports (Tonbeller RIM reports and Transactions Reports) 
· Perform daily monitoring of AML Exception Reports, including Tönbeller RIM reports and Transaction Reports, to identify current and new data quality exceptions.
· Conduct timely, accurate, and thorough investigations of AML Exception Reports to ensure data integrity, completeness, and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
· Distribute AML Exception Reports to relevant Business Units on a daily basis to facilitate prompt review, corrective action, and remediation.
· Log known data quality errors with the Enterprise Services Platform (ES) Department for investigation and corrective action.
· Log unknown, undefined, or complex data quality errors with the Enterprise Services Platform (ES) Department and the Information & Analytics (I&A) function for detailed analysis and remediation.
· Track and manage the end‑to‑end remediation lifecycle of data quality errors across Business Units, ES, and I&A to ensure accurate resubmission of affected reports within the prescribed five (5) working‑day regulatory timeframe.
 
SharePoint Processing (Co-pilot)
 
· Maintain and manage Go-AML PDF reports by accurately saving them to the designated shared drive to support timely and reliable updates of the Compliance Dashboard.
· Upload Go-AML PDF reports to the Uncounted Reports module and proactively monitor automated processing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of exceptions.
· Identify, escalate, and track SharePoint‑related processing issues by logging ME calls with the IT Department and following up to ensure effective resolution within agreed timelines.
 
AML Compliance Dashboard
 
· Maintain and update compliance rate documentation to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of adherence to regulatory requirements.
·  Perform monthly reconciliations for the AML Dashboard to support effective monitoring of compliance metrics.
·  Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified on the AML Compliance Dashboard, ensuring data accuracy and timely corrective action.
·  Log calls with I&A for unresolved variances.
 
Submission of Quarterly Cross‑Border Remittances reports to the FIC
·  Timeous and accurate capturing of Quarterly Cross‑Border Remittances reports on the FIC Go-AML portal.
 
Reporting 
·         Maintain the CTR/EFT (local & Cross-border) reports logs.
·          Prepare and ensure the timeous submission of Go-AML related reports monthly.
 
Review of SDA transactions
Timeous review of SDA transactions above a determined threshold to determine if such transactions are in line with the financial profile of the client and if adequate documents have been obtained to mitigate the ML/TF and PF risks identified.
 
Regulatory Engagement
·         Maintain a professional relationship with the FIC. 
·         Submit a list of transactions with identified data quality issues to the FIC in accordance with regulatory requirements.
·         Report any Go-AML portal related issues to the FIC and Management, further also monitor timely resolution.
·         Respond promptly to queries from: 
o   Financial Intelligence Centre;
o   Bank of Namibia;
o   Relevant Law Enforcement Agencies;
·         Assist with execution of intervention orders as required. 
·         Attend FIC and industry meetings when requested by AML Management.
 
AML/CFT/CPF Training
·         Conduct training sessions on AML/CFT/CPF regulatory reporting and error remediation.
 
General
Assist with AML Compliance related projects or tasks assigned by Management.

Local & International AML/CFT/CPF legislation updates
Emerging ML/TF/PF typologies
Compliance best practices
Maintain proper record keeping of all data collected, processed, or analysed. 
Ensure secure handling and confidentiality of sensitive regulatory data.
 
 
 

Minimum requirements

·         Minimum of three years’ experience in financial services data analysis.

       AML Compliance specific experience preferred.
